Dog Friendly Stays in Sussex

Nestled in the tranquil Sussex countryside (a 20min drive from the bustling town of Lewes) sits our lovely country pub. And with our 13 bedrooms we’re the best spot for both you and for your dog to come for a weekend away, a mid-week break, or for a proper holiday.

Our rooms are quirky, comfortable and have all the mod cons – despite being totally in-keeping with our Grade II listed pub downstairs.

Your pooch will be treated to dog treats, a dog bed or blanket and a water bowl – so they feel right at home (and thoroughly spoiled) throughout their stay with us.

Holidays with Your Dog

We love dogs, and guests with four paws are most welcome in our pub and bedrooms.

Up to two dogs can stay with you (in one of our dog-friendly bedrooms, of course) for just £20 per night.

Your pooch will get the full VIP treatment, with a Happy Dog Hamper (full of tail-waggingly good treats) plus a comfy doggy bed or blanket, plus a bowl.

Dog Friendly Activities

From visiting nearby Lewes (with plenty of dog friendly shops and cafes) to hitting the woods for a welly-walk to just propping up the bar – there’s a million and one things to do when you’re in Fletching.

Dog House Rules

  1. Each of our dog-friendly bedrooms has space for up to 2 dogs. A dog stay is charged at £20 per night (whether there’s 1 or 2 dogs with you).
  2. Your room will come with a Happy Dog hamper, plus a doggy bed (or blanket) and bowl. We know your pup might love their own doggy bed, so please feel free to bring this if you prefer.
  3. Although most people’s days are brightened by seeing a dog, some aren’t, so please keep in this in mind and keep your dog on a lead in all shared areas.
  4. We don’t like the idea of your pooch getting lonely, so please don’t leave them unsupervised at any time.
  5. We love it when a four-legged friend comes with a friend of their own, but 2 per room is our maximum.
  6. It goes without saying that your dog loves walkies. We do provide a dog blanket but if your pup has a penchant for muddy puddles, please bring an extra blanket for de-muddying.
  7. We know your doggy might get comfy on the sofa at home, but while with us, please don’t let your pup sleep on beds and soft furnishings.
